MAT December 2025 Registration Begins – Key Details for MBA Aspirants

Synopsis: The registration window for the December 2025 session of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) has opened. Prospective MBA candidates can apply online for either Paper-Based Test (PBT) or Computer-Based Test (CBT) modes. Important deadlines include registration closure on December 7 for PBT and December 15 for CBT. Fees are ₹2,200 for one mode and ₹3,800 for both.

The registration process for MAT 2025’s December session is now live at the official portal of the All India Management Association (AIMA). Candidates seeking admission to over 800 MBA/PGDM institutions across India can now apply online, choosing between PBT or CBT exams.

Important Dates & Modes

Registration for PBT mode will close on 7 December 2025.
Registration for CBT mode will be open until 15 December 2025.
The PBT exam is scheduled on 13 December, while the CBT exam will be held on 21 December 2025.

Fee Structure & Eligibility

Fee for one mode (PBT or CBT): ₹2,200.
Fee for both modes: ₹3,800.
Eligibility: Completed graduation or in final year of bachelor’s program.

How to Apply

Visit the official AIMA MAT website.
Complete the registration form with personal and academic details, upload photographs and signature.
Choose exam mode (PBT/CBT) and preferred test cities.
Pay the registration fee online via debit/credit card or net banking.
Submit the form — note: no correction window is available once submitted.

Exam Pattern & Acceptance

MAT consists of 150 questions across five sections: Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, and Economic & Business Environment. Correct answer earns +1 mark; every wrong answer carries – 0.25 penalty.

Scores are accepted by more than 800 MBA and PGDM institutions for admissions.
