The CMAT 2026 entrance exam is set to be held on January 25, 2026. Registration for the exam has already concluded, with the application window opening on October 17 and closing on October 24, 2025. The computer-based test will take place across 120+ cities, with a duration of three hours (180 minutes).

More than 1300 MBA and PGDM colleges across India will accept CMAT scores for admission. Prestigious institutions such as JBIMS, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar (WE School), Great Lakes Institute of Management, KIIT School of Management, Amity University, BIMTECH, Xavier Institute of Management and Research, Goa Institute of Management, and GITAM School of Management are among the top participating institutes.

To be eligible for CMAT 2026, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognised university. Final-year students are also allowed to appear. The exam does not enforce a minimum percentage requirement, and there is no age limit—making it open to candidates at any career stage. However, participating colleges may require a minimum 50% (or 45% for reserved categories) in graduation for admission.

With CMAT scores widely recognised by premium institutes, the exam continues to serve as a key pathway for postgraduate management education in India.
