IIM Amritsar Hosts 9th Convocation, Confers Degrees on Over 380 Graduates

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar celebrated its 9th Convocation Ceremony at Festyn Palais, honouring the academic accomplishments of over 380 graduates. The event included students from flagship programs such as MBA, MBA in Business Analytics, MBA in Human Resources, Executive MBA, and the inaugural batch of the MSc in Data Science and Management (MSDSM) —a collaborative initiative with IIT Ropar.

Graced by dignitaries including Dr. Ranjit Rath, CMD of Oil India Limited (Chief Guest), Sanjay Gupta, Chairman of the Board of Governors, and Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar, the ceremony emphasized leadership, excellence, and societal contribution. Prof. Samir K Srivastava, Director of IIM Amritsar, highlighted the institute’s academic growth, with over 150 companies participating in final placements and 100+ new recruiters onboard.

Gold medals and merit recognitions were awarded to the top 10% of academic performers. Dr. Rath urged students to lead with empathy, courage, and purpose, emphasizing innovation and social responsibility.

With the successful graduation of its first MSDSM cohort, IIM Amritsar reaffirmed its commitment to interdisciplinary education, industry alignment, and holistic student development, reinforcing its position as a premier management institution in India.
