The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has wrapped up its summer internship placement season for the 62nd MBA batch, posting an impressive average monthly stipend of ₹1.85 lakh.

A total of 470 students were placed with 510 offers from 183 recruiters, reflecting a healthy demand for talent in the management education space.

The median stipend for the batch stood at ₹2 lakh, with the top domestic stipend recorded at ₹4.5 lakh per month and the highest international offer touching ₹6 lakh per month.

The placement process included a cluster-cohort model aimed at aligning student profiles with recruiter needs. This structure, along with incentives like the “dream offer” policy, helped drive strong fit between students and roles.

Recruiters from varied sectors such as consulting, finance, FMCG, manufacturing, technology, and pharmaceuticals took part in the placement cycle, underscoring the broad appeal of IIM Calcutta’s talent pool. 

In a statement, the institute noted that the outcomes reflect its continued emphasis on preparing students for complex, cross-functional roles in a dynamic business environment. The strong stipend numbers have reinforced its position among India’s top management institutions.
