Synopsis: IIM Indore has retained its CAT cut-offs for MBA admissions 2026–28, with 90 percentile for General and EWS candidates. Sectional cut-offs also apply. The PI shortlist is expected in January 2026, and admissions will proceed through CAT-based screening, face-to-face interviews, and final selection.

IIM Indore has released its admission criteria for the 2026–2028 Post Graduate Programme (PGP), confirming that the minimum qualifying CAT cut-offs remain unchanged from last year. For General and EWS category candidates, the overall qualifying CAT 2025 cut-off continues to be 90 percentile. NC-OBC aspirants must secure at least 80 percentile, while the qualifying cut-offs for SC and ST categories are 60 percentile and 45 percentile, respectively. Candidates belonging to the PwD category also need a minimum of 45 percentile in CAT 2025 to be eligible for the Personal Interview (PI) round.

In addition to meeting the overall cut-off, candidates must also clear the sectional CAT cut-offs prescribed by IIM Indore. This makes it important for aspirants to maintain a balanced score across VARC, DILR, and QA sections. Given the competitive nature of admissions, candidates are advised to aim well above the minimum threshold, ideally 90 percentile or higher, to improve their chances of selection.

The IIM Indore PGP PI shortlist 2026 is expected to be released in the second week of January 2026, shortly after the declaration of CAT 2025 results. Only those candidates who selected IIM Indore as a preferred institute in their CAT application and meet the required cut-offs will be considered. The admission process for the 2026–28 batch will be conducted in three stages: initial screening based on CAT scores, a face-to-face Personal Interview, and final selection for admission. It is important to note that the announced cut-offs are qualifying in nature, and the actual cut-offs for final selection are typically higher.
