Programme Format and History
Launched in 2005, the PGPWE (formerly known as WMP) has already produced 19 graduating batches, many of whose alumni hold leadership positions across diverse sectors. Classes are held on alternate weekends, from Friday afternoon through Sunday, to allow participants to balance work and studies.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percent marks and have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience by March 31, 2026. Admission considers scores from CAT (2023/2024), GMAT (or GMAT Focus Edition), GRE, or IIM Lucknow’s own PGPWE entrance exam (scheduled for December 2025). About 65 participants will be selected per batch. The shortlist will move on to a Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview round.

Programme Structure & Fees
The PGPWE spans 28 credits over two years. The first year emphasizes core management courses—marketing, finance, operations, strategy—while the second year allows specialization and a dissertation project. An international immersion module is incorporated, and its associated costs (travel, visa, accommodation) are borne by the student, estimated at approx. ₹4.5 lakh. The tuition fee is ₹11 lakh, with additional charges such as a refundable caution deposit (₹10,000) and alumni membership fee (₹5,000).
