IIM Mumbai Sets 85 Percentile CAT Cut-off for MBA Admission 2026–28

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has announced its admission criteria for the MBA 2026–28 batch, setting the minimum qualifying CAT percentile at 85 for General category candidates. Applicants who have secured 85 percentile or above in CAT 2025 will be eligible to apply for admission to IIM Mumbai’s full-time MBA programmes.

Formerly known as NITIE Mumbai, the institute has a legacy of over 60 years. As per the Gazette notification dated August 16, 2023, NITIE was officially renamed IIM Mumbai, becoming the 21st Indian Institute of Management in the country.

IIM Mumbai offers a range of management programmes, including MBA, MBA in Sustainability Management (SM), MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM), along with executive, doctoral and certificate programmes. The application process for MBA admissions 2026–28 is expected to begin shortly.

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD categories). The undergraduate degree should comprise a minimum of three years of education after Class 12. Final-year students or candidates awaiting results are also eligible, provided they have secured the required marks in the first and second years of their degree.The IIM Mumbai MBA application form 2026 will be available on the official website. Candidates will need to register, fill in personal and academic details, upload required documents, and pay the application fee to complete the process.
