IIM Visakhapatnam Begins MBA 2026 Shortlisting

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM Vizag) has commenced its shortlisting process for MBA admissions 2026. Candidates who selected IIM Visakhapatnam in the CAT 2025 application form and meet the prescribed cut-off criteria are eligible to be considered for the Personal Interview (PI) round. For the General category, the qualifying CAT 2025 cut-off for PI shortlisting is 82 percentile, although the institute has clarified that the final cut-offs may be higher.

IIM Vizag will prepare the PI shortlist based on a combination of CAT scores and academic performance. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email by the second week of January 2026. The email will include a link directing candidates to the online portal, where they must submit the PI shortlist application form within the given timeline.

The last date to submit the IIM Visakhapatnam PI application is January 23, 2026. To apply, candidates need to visit the official website, navigate to the Admissions 2026 section, select the PGP admission tab, log in using their CAT registration ID and password, complete the form, upload the required documents, and submit the application.Category-wise CAT cut-offs have also been announced. Apart from the overall percentile, candidates must meet sectional cut-offs in VARC, DILR, and QA.

For General category candidates, the sectional cut-off is 70 percentile in each section. For EWS and NC-OBC, it is 63 percentile, while for SC, ST, and PwD categories, the sectional requirements range from 30 to 40 percentile. Only candidates meeting these criteria will be eligible for the PI round.
