The Department of Management Studies (DMS), IIT Delhi, has announced its CAT-based admission criteria for the MBA and MBA-Telecom programmes. While IIT Delhi’s CAT cut-offs remain lower than those of the IIMs, they fall within the range of other leading management institutes in India. The institute follows two types of cut-offs: the qualifying cut-off and the final shortlisting cut-off.
For the General category, the qualifying CAT percentile typically stands at 90, whereas the final cut-off required for interview shortlisting ranges between 97–98 percentile. Separate cut-offs are applied for each category, with OBC candidates usually needing 81 percentile, and SC, ST, and PwD candidates requiring 60 percentile.
Only candidates who clear the final CAT cut-off are considered for the next stages of the selection process—Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The shortlisting is based on CAT percentile and academic profile. These stages collectively determine the final admission decision for the respective academic year.
Below are the category-wise CAT percentile requirements for IIT Delhi MBA admission:
| Category | CAT Percentile (Overall) |
| General | 90 |
| OBC | 81 |
| SC | 60 |
| ST | 60 |
| PwD | 60 |
