Synopsis: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a brief form-correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session-1. Registered candidates can edit certain application details online at the official portal until December 2, 2025 (11:50 PM IST). Key editable fields include exam city, paper choice, category/PwD status, and signature/photo uploads, among others. All corrections must be completed before the deadline — no further modifications will be allowed.

The NTA has activated the correction facility for JEE Main 2026 applicants. The window opened on December 1, 2025 and will close on December 2, 2025 at 11:50 PM. This is the only opportunity provided to candidates to rectify errors in their submitted application forms.

What Can Be Edited

Through the correction portal accessed at jeemain.nta.nic.in, candidates can update the following fields:

Name, father’s/mother’s name
Category / sub-category / PwD status
Examination city preference and medium
Paper choice (e.g. Paper-1, Paper-2)
Date of birth, gender
Academic details (Class 10/12 info), qualifying exam info
Uploaded signature or signature file (if previously incorrect)

However, certain fields remain non-editable — notably: mobile number, email address, permanent/correspondence address, emergency contact, and the previously uploaded photograph.

How to Make Corrections

Visit the official portal — jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Log in using your application number and password.
Click on the “Application Form Correction 2026” link under “Candidate Activity”.
Make the necessary changes in the editable fields — ensure all information is accurate before submitting.
Submit the corrected form. If the corrections involve changing category/paper/adding a paper, additional fees may apply; otherwise no extra fee.
Download and save the confirmation page — retain it until the admission process is complete.

Important Points to Remember

This is a one-time correction window; no further edits will be permitted after the deadline.
Make sure to follow the photo and signature upload specifications (size, format) as per NTA guidelines — incorrect uploads may result in rejection.
For changes requiring extra fee, ensure payment is completed during the correction process.

Candidates are advised not to delay — log in promptly, verify all details, and submit corrections before 11:50 PM today to avoid complications with exam admit cards or future admissions.
