Synopsis: The JEE Main 2026 registration for Session 1 is open online at the official portal and closes on 27 November 2025 at 9:00 PM. Fee payment must be completed by 11:50 PM on the same day. The examination is scheduled for 21–30 January 2026 for eligible engineering aspirants.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that registration for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will close on 27 November 2025. Candidates must complete their online application by 9:00 PM and ensure that the fee payment is made by 11:50 PM on the same day.
Eligible candidates can apply via the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in where the registration link is live.

  • Exam dates (Session 1): 21–30 January 2026
  • Correction window: 1–2 December 2025 for certain form details.

Eligibility & Documents

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination and meet subject-specific criteria as defined in the information bulletin. The application requires scanned photographs, signatures, and category certificates (as applicable). The NTA has reminded candidates to update documents like Aadhaar, UDID and category certificates ahead of registration.

  • Fill in personal, academic and contact information; select preferred exam city and session.
  • Upload required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the application fee online (net-banking, debit/credit card, UPI).
  • Download and retain the confirmation page for future reference.

What Aspirants Should Do Now

With the deadline imminent, aspirants are advised to avoid last-minute rush. Key actions:

  • Complete and verify the application form ahead of time, ensuring correct details.
  • Make payment well before the cut-off to prevent transaction issues.
  • Keep a backup of uploaded documents and the confirmation receipt.
  • Review the exam pattern, assuming the test is in CBT mode for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning).
