Karnataka Declares PGCET 2025 Round-1 Seat Allotment; Next Steps Issued

BENGALURU | The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially announced the final seat allotment for Round 1 of PGCET 2025 counselling across postgraduate courses including MBA, MCA, and M.Tech. Candidates can view their allotment status by logging in to the official portal using their CET number. 

How to Check Allotment & Options

1. Visit the KEA PGCET portal (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in)
2. Click on the “PGCET first allotment results” link
3. Enter CET number and captcha
4. Download allotment order if a seat is assigned 

If eligible, candidates must choose from the following by October 7:

• Choice 1: Accept the allotted seat (no further rounds)
• Choice 2: Accept but remain open to an upgrade in Round 2
• Choice 3: Reject and opt for participation in the next allotment round

Fee Payment & Reporting

Those who accept the allotment must pay the admission fee by October 8 and report to their assigned college by October 9 with required documents. 

Round 2 Counselling

KEA has also indicated that Round 2 counselling dates will be announced soon, offering another chance to candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1 or opted for rejection/upgrade. Eligible candidates for Round 2 include those who chose Choice 2 or 3, as well as those unallotted in Round 1. 

This allotment marks an important milestone in Karnataka’s postgraduate admissions season. Candidates are urged to act within the deadlines to confirm admissions or proceed with subsequent rounds.
