| Synopsis: Karnataka’s PGCET 2025 process is gearing up for its second round of counselling, with over 21,000 vacant seats available across MBA, MCA, and related programmes. While first-round allotments are complete, official confirmation on Round 2 dates is still awaited, urging candidates to stay alert. |

BENGALURU | The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is preparing to commence Round 2 counselling for PGCET 2025 to fill roughly 21,000 unfilled seats across MBA, MCA, and other postgraduate programmes. However, as of now, official dates for the next round have not been announced.
In the first round, candidates participated in the option entry process from September 24 to September 28, selecting preferred colleges and programmes. KEA then declared mock allotment results on September 29, followed by a window for option editing until October 3. The provisional first-round allotment was released on October 3, with the final list published on October 4.
Candidates with allotted seats were required to confirm their choices or opt for further consideration between October 4 and 7, pay necessary fees between October 6 and 8, and report to allotted colleges by October 9.
With many seats still unoccupied after Round 1, KEA is expected to launch Round 2 soon. According to past counselling cycles and expert speculation, the subsequent rounds are likely to follow in November and December.
Students who did not secure a seat in Round 1 or opted for upgrades are anticipated to be eligible for the upcoming round. KEA will publish detailed notifications, including registration dates, choice-filling windows, and allotment schedules, once confirmed.
Prospective candidates are advised to frequently check the official KEA portal and keep documentation ready, as the authorities may issue counselling instructions on short notice.
