| Synopsis: The All India Management Association (AIMA) is set to open registrations for the MAT December 2025 session soon, with exam modes in CBT and PBT. The test fee is fixed at ₹2,200 per mode (₹3,800 for both). The MAT score is accepted by over 800 MBA colleges across India. |

AIMA is expected to announce the registration window shortly for the December 2025 session of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT), an entrance exam used widely for admission into MBA/PGDM programmes across India.
Exam Modes & Fee Structure
Candidates can choose between Computer Based Test (CBT) or Paper Based Test (PBT) modes. For those wishing to appear in both modes, a combined fee is applicable. The test fee is ₹2,200 per mode, and ₹3,800 if applying for both modes in the same session.
Eligibility & Application
Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply; final-year students may also appear. The application process is fully online through the official MAT portal. Applicants must upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature, select preferred exam city, and pay the fee by net banking or card.
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
MAT consists of 150 multiple-choice questions spanning five sections:
Each question carries +1 mark and a wrong answer attracts a –0.25 mark penalty. There is no sectional time limit.
Acceptance & Admission Process
Over 800 MBA and PGDM institutions accept MAT scores. During registration, candidates can choose up to five colleges to which their scores will be sent directly. These colleges then conduct their shortlisting and final selection rounds (GD, PI, WAT) as per their criteria.
