Synopsis: The MHT CET 2026 application fee is expected to increase by ₹150–₹250, as announced by the authorities. The revised fee structure will apply when the online registration window — likely to open in December 2025 — goes live. Aspiring engineering and pharmacy aspirants should prepare accordingly.

The registration fee for MHT CET 2026 may see a hike, as per recent announcements by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. The increase is likely to be in the range of ₹150 to ₹250 depending on the exam type.

In previous years, candidates applying for MHT CET paid between ₹500 and ₹1,000 — depending on whether the exam was pen-and-paper or computer-based. For 2025, for example, General-category students opting for PCM or PCB paid ₹800, while reserved-category or PwD candidates from Maharashtra paid ₹600.

Under the revised fee structure for 2026 admissions, the fee for General-category applicants is likely to rise to ₹1,200–₹1,250 for PCM, and around ₹1,000–₹1,050 for other categories.

Meanwhile, the registration window for MHT CET 2026 is expected to open soon — tentatively in the last week of December 2025 or early January.

The MHT CET serves as a gateway for admission to a variety of professional courses including BTech/BE, BPharm, PharmD, B Planning and integrated BTech–MTech programmes in Maharashtra colleges.

With the anticipated rise in application fee, prospective candidates — especially those from economically weaker backgrounds or applying to multiple entrance exams — are advised to stay updated with official announcements and plan their finances in advance.

Stay tuned for the official notification from the Maharashtra State CET Cell confirming the final fee structure and registration dates.
