Supreme Court postpones NEET PG 2024 hearing to Monday, September 30, 2024. NBEMS asked to explain recent exam pattern changes.
NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing: The Supreme Court of India will continue the NEET PG 2024 hearing on Monday, September 30. The court is reviewing petitions that challenge NBEMS’s choice to not release question papers, answer keys, and student response sheets from the NEET PG 2024 exams.
Students filed the petition due to concerns about the unclear marking system used for NEET PG results. The results came out on August 23, 2024. The petition asks for a more open exam process, with students arguing that not sharing this information makes it hard for them to check their scores and understand how they were graded.
In the last hearing on September 20, 2024, the Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud wasn’t happy with the last-minute exam changes, which the petitioner’s lawyer brought up. The Chief Justice asked why changes were made so close to the exam, causing student stress. NBEMS must now clearly explain these late changes.
While waiting for the final decision on the NEET PG 2024 exam, the Medical Counselling Committee started NEET PG counselling sign-ups on September 20, 2024. Students who passed their NEET PG exams can register for counselling at mcc.nic.in. However, the full counselling schedule with details of all three rounds hasn’t been released yet. Officials are expected to share this information soon.
