The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has officially released the Personal Interview (PI) shortlist for PGP admissions 2026 on January 13, 2026. Candidates can now check their PI status and submit the required form for the PGP 2025–27 interview process through the institute’s official website. The online link to view the shortlist and apply for the PI round is currently active.

Candidates who qualified CAT 2025, selected IIM Bangalore as a preferred institute in their CAT application form, and meet the prescribed cut-offs are eligible to participate in the PI-WAT (Personal Interview–Written Ability Test) round. However, being shortlisted for the PI stage is not automatic. Eligible candidates must complete and submit the PI shortlist form within the specified deadline to confirm their participation in the next stage of the admission process.
Once the form submission is completed, PI call letters will be issued to shortlisted candidates. As per the admission timeline, the interviews are likely to be conducted during February and March 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website and their registered email IDs for updates related to interview schedules and instructions.
According to the admission criteria, the minimum qualifying CAT 2025 cut-off for the IIM Bangalore PI stage is 85 percentile for General category candidates. However, the institute has clarified that while this is the eligibility cut-off, the final cut-offs are expected to be higher, depending on competition and overall applicant performance.

Candidates shortlisted for the PI round must submit the online PI form through the official portal. The step-by-step process is as follows:
Candidates who fail to submit the PI shortlist form within the stipulated time may lose their opportunity to participate in the selection process, even if they meet the eligibility criteria.

IIM Bangalore has also announced the category-wise and section-wise CAT 2025 cut-offs required to qualify for the PI stage of the PGP admissions 2026–28 cycle.
| Category | VARC | DILR | QA | Overall |
| General | 80 | 75 | 75 | 85 |
| NC-OBC | 70 | 65 | 65 | 75 |
| EWS | 70 | 65 | 65 | 75 |
| SC | 60 | 60 | 60 | 70 |
| ST | 55 | 60 | 60 | 70 |
| PWD | 50 | 50 | 50 | 60 |
Candidates must meet both sectional and overall cut-offs to be considered for shortlisting. Meeting the cut-off, however, does not guarantee final admission, as selection is based on multiple parameters.
For the final admission decision, IIM Bangalore assigns significant importance to performance in the WAT-PI round, which carries a weightage of 60 points. The CAT score contributes 25 points to the final merit calculation. The remaining weightage is distributed across academic performance and other evaluation components as per institute norms.
Candidates must clear the WAT-PI stage to be considered for admission. Even high CAT scorers may not secure a seat if their performance in the interview or written assessment is not satisfactory.
With the release of the PI shortlist, the admission process for IIM Bangalore PGP 2026–28 has entered a critical phase. Shortlisted candidates are advised to complete the application process promptly and begin preparing for the interview round to maximise their chances of final selection.
