Synopsis: The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has confirmed that the NMAT 2025 testing window opens from 5 November 2025, allowing candidates to take the computer-based MBA entrance test until mid-December. Candidates are urged to familiarise themselves with key exam-day guidelines, including document requirements, slot-booking procedures and test-centre conduct.

The NMAT 2025 examination is scheduled to commence on 5 November 2025, marking the start of a testing window that will run up to 19 or 20 December 2025, according to multiple sources. Candidates who have completed registration and slot booking should be ready to adhere to the formal guidelines issued for the exam day.

Key Guidelines for Exam Day

  • Candidates must arrive at the test centre at least 45 minutes before the scheduled slot to complete verification and entry procedures.
  • A printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence or voter ID) are mandatory for entry. Failure to present these may result in denial of entry.
  • The exam will be delivered in computer-based mode at designated test centres across India, with multiple attempts allowed within the window.
  • Importantly, there is no negative marking in NMAT 2025, and results are typically available within 48 hours of completing the test.

Candidate Recommendations

Aspiring MBA candidates are advised to carefully verify the city and slot chosen during scheduling, check for the correct section order (if offered by the test format), and bring earphones or headphones if required (based on centre rules). They should also familiarise themselves with the test pattern, which comprises 108 questions over three sections — Language Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Skills, in 120 minutes.

With major B-schools accepting NMAT scores, timely preparation and adherence to exam-day protocol are essential for a smooth examination experience and optimal performance.

Candidates who have not yet downloaded their admit card or completed slot booking are advised to do so immediately, as last-minute delays may restrict preferred test centres or slots.
