Over 7,000 MBA and MCA Seats Remain Vacant After TG ICET 2025 Counselling in Telangana

Despite completing three rounds of Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TG ICET) 2025 counselling, nearly 7,500 MBA and MCA seats remain unfilled across colleges in the state. The Technical Education Department released the final seat allotment results for the special phase counselling on Thursday.

Out of 37,860 total seats, 30,371 were allotted to candidates, leaving 7,489 seats vacant. This includes 4,844 MBA and 2,645 MCA seats that found no takers. Interestingly, this year’s vacancies were not limited to private institutions — several university colleges also reported unfilled seats. In fact, 20 university colleges failed to fill 133 MBA seats, while 228 MCA seats across 17 universities also remained vacant even after the final allotment round.Meanwhile, 72 colleges achieved 100% seat allotment, reflecting the demand disparity across different institutions. Candidates who have been allotted seats in this phase are required to self-report online through the official portal — tgicet.nic.in — make the fee payment, and report to their respective colleges by October 13, 2025. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the provisional seat allotment.
