The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has officially opened applications for its two-year blended Post Graduate Programme in Logistics, Supply Chain and Maritime Management, an Executive MBA designed specifically for working professionals. The programme aims to prepare experienced professionals for managerial and leadership roles in the rapidly evolving logistics, supply chain, and maritime sectors, which play a crucial role in India’s economic growth and global trade integration.
This Executive MBA programme is being offered in collaboration with The Company of Master Mariners of India, highlighting its strong industry orientation and sector-specific relevance. According to IIM Mumbai, the programme has been carefully structured to strike a balance between academic rigor and practical industry exposure, ensuring that participants can continue their professional careers without interruption while upgrading their managerial capabilities.
In an official post shared on social media, IIM Mumbai emphasised the flexibility of the programme format. The institute stated that the blended learning approach allows participants to remain actively engaged in their current roles while undergoing a transformative learning experience. The programme is designed and delivered by distinguished faculty members of IIM Mumbai, supported by experienced industry experts, enabling learners to gain insights that are both theoretically sound and practically applicable.
The curriculum focuses extensively on logistics and supply chain systems, maritime operations, port and shipping management, and contemporary management practices relevant to the sector. With global supply chains becoming more complex and technology-driven, the programme aims to equip professionals with the skills required to manage operations efficiently, lead teams, and make strategic decisions in high-impact environments. Emphasis will also be placed on understanding sector-specific challenges, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends shaping the logistics and maritime industries.

Teaching and learning will take place through a blended mode, combining classroom-based sessions with online components and industry interactions. This format ensures flexibility while maintaining academic depth and engagement. The programme is particularly suitable for professionals who want to enhance their leadership potential without taking a career break, making it a strong option for mid-career executives seeking advancement in logistics, shipping, supply chain management, and allied domains.
The duration of the programme is two years, during which participants will undergo structured learning modules, case discussions, and industry-oriented sessions. The blended Executive MBA is expected to attract professionals from diverse backgrounds, including logistics, maritime operations, port management, transportation, manufacturing, and supply chain services.

As per the official notification, the application deadline for the programme is March 31, 2026. Interested candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria, programme structure, and fee details available on the institute’s official website before applying. Applications must be submitted online through the IIM Mumbai admission portal.
Formerly known as NITIE Mumbai, IIM Mumbai has been steadily expanding its portfolio of executive and specialised management programmes aligned with industry needs. The introduction of this blended Executive MBA further reflects the institute’s focus on industry-linked education, professional upskilling, and leadership development in niche but critical sectors.
With India’s logistics and maritime sectors witnessing rapid growth, increased global integration, and technological transformation, this programme is expected to play a key role in developing future-ready leaders who can drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth across supply chain ecosystems.
